Adding a Redundant Module
This two step process is very simple and can be performed while the system is still up and running. Make sure you understand these instructions so you can complete the steps in the least amount of time. When adding a redundant module, make sure the spare module has the same ID as the active module.
Hardware1. Disonnect the DVI cable going into the Digital In port on the active module and plug it into the Digital In port on the spare module. 2. Disconnect the VGA or DVI cable from Analog or Digital out on the active module and plug it into the Analog or Digital out on the spare module. 3. Disconnect all video inputs going into the active module and connect it into the video inputs on the spare module. 4. Make sure the spare module has the same ID as the active module (check by making sure the rotary switch on the spare module is set to the same position as the active module). 5. Power down the active module. 6. Power on the spare module.
Software1. Right-click within the VCC Control Panel and select Reset group VCC. The software should detect the spare module and set it as the active module. |
