Follow These Instructions to Upgrade Your Virtual Monitor Wall Software to
the Latest Version
- Start the virtual monitor wall software like you normally do.

- If you are using Tallys or UMD, make sure to copy down the information in
the Tally and UMD setup menu.

- Save the system configuration as a file. If you have only one group, you
can save it as a group file.

- Also make sure to select Save System Configuration, this will save all your
label, tally, and UMD information.

- Remove the old software by deleting the following five files.

- Unzip the file we sent you into the same directory the old software was
in. It is very important that the new software is in the same directory as
the basework files (basework files have the file extension *.w).

- Start up the software by double clicking on the executable. If the software
starts up and loads your old configuration automatically, then you are good
to go (Skip down to step 12).
- If the software has problems loading, go to the directory where the executable
is located and delete the file BASE_WORK4.W and then restart the software.
The software will start from default so follow the directions in the Software
Startup Tutorial.

- Load your saved system configuration files (for multiple groups) or your
group files (for a single group).

- If you are using Tallys or UMD, make sure to set that up and enter in the
information as they were in step 2.
- If your labels did not load, you will have to re-enter the label information.
- After configuring your virtual monitor wall system to your specifications,
save the system configuration so it will start up with your saved settings
when you load the software.

- Make sure to create a shortcut to the new executable to the desktop and
the Windows Startup folder if you want to make it start up automatically when
you load windows. You can also delete the shortcut on your desktop to the
old software. (To make a shortcut, right-click on the file and drag it to
your desktop and then let go of the right mouse button.)
