Technical Application Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a well rounded individual with diverse technical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills, to become a member of our support team. This individual must pursue work with energy, attention to detail, a drive to exceed expectations, and thrive on collaboration when working as a part of a team. The incumbent will represent Avitech by performing all levels of support including, but not limited to, customer and sales service, module hardware repair, desktop assistance, and quality control.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must be extremely detail oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to maintain good records
- Good understanding and knowledge of AV/Broadcast equipment
- Exceptional communication skills: written, oral, and multimedia
- Knowledge of video/image processing systems
- Able to communicate technical information and give effective presentations
- Understanding of computer operations and systems, including some network knowledge
- Experience building PC's with off the shelf components
- Basic understanding of software testing
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio etc.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Strong desire to learn and use new products: software, and hardware
- Able to communicate unresolved issues with the supervisor in a timely and clear manner
- Able to provide computer and phone support for extensive periods of time
- Critical and conceptual thinking; resolve technical issues in a quick and efficient manner
Education
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Four year college degree preferred
